On the corner of Third and Rolla Streets is the John A. Dillon Log House, site of the first Phelps County Courthouse in 1857. The old courthouse, across the street from the Dillon House, was built prior to the Civil War and was used both as a hospital and storage space for horses' hay during those times.

A trip to the Missouri University of Science and Technology (MS&T) can take you to the Mineral Museum at Norwood Hall, which has a large collection, including specimens from the 1904 World's Fair in St. Louis.

Located at 14th Street and Bishop Avenue is Stonehenge, a partial reconstruction of the ancient megalith located on Salisbury Plain, 75 miles southwest of London, England. The original Stonehenge was built in three stages beginning about 2800 B.C. and ending about 1100 B.C. and stands as one of the world’s outstanding engineering projects.

On Fairgrounds Road, the Ed Clark Museum of Missouri Geology displays the State's geological history. The hours are 8-5, Monday through Friday.

The Rolla Mid-Continent Mapping Center on Independence Road is an interesting government facility open to the public during business hours.

A tour of the Ozarks Highland Winemakers, covering six area wineries, will introduce you to some of Missouri's finest wines. Here you will find a broad spectrum of wines and wine styles as well as juices, Missouri cheeses and sausages, related glassware and giftware to choose from.

The public can view an "Old Frisco" locomotive steam engine, symbolic of Rolla's railroad history dating back before the Civil War, located in Schuman Park.

On one of those hot, steamy summer days, you might enjoy a cool splash at our local waterpark, SplashZone, located at the corner of 14th & Holloway Streets. It is a great way to beat the heat!

The Centre is Rolla's Health & Recreation Complex located on the intersection of 10th & Holloway Streets in Ber Juan Park. The Centre offers a facility for aquatics, meetings, sports, fitness and recreation.
