Commitment to Education

Education is an issue that is immensely valued by the Rolla community. Rolla Public Schools are leading the way in education with an accredited public school system consisting of one senior high school, one junior high, one middle school and three elementary schools.

Also included in Rolla are three parochial schools, B.W. Robinson State School, Choices for People serving the handicapped from Phelps and surrounding counties and The Gingerbread House a residential center for severely handicapped children.

Rolla is also the home of several colleges and technical schools. Missouri University of Science and Technology is a premier school, which focuses on educating tomorrow's leaders in engineering and science. Rolla Technical Institute/Center (RTI/RTC) is one of the most modern technical schools in the Midwest, which provides an extensive and comprehensive technical vocational training program to students from twelve area high schools as well as evening instruction and customized training for area workers.
