Education is an issue that is immensely valued by the Rolla community. Rolla Public Schools are leading the way in education with an accredited public school system consisting of one senior high school, one junior high, one middle school and three elementary schools.
B.W. Robinson State School and Choices for People serve the handicapped from Phelps and surrounding counties. The Gingerbread House is a residential center for severely handicapped children. Rolla also has the Kyle Center; a semi-independent residential apartment setting that prepares people with developmental disabilities to move to more independent living arrangements.
